CTET Eligibility and Selection Process:
The Central Teachers Eligibility Test
which is called as CTET. It is conducted by Central Board of Secondary

The CTET written examination will
comprise of 2 papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. The candidate who qualifies CTET
2018 examination will be eligible for teaching in Central government schools
and in many other schools.
Candidates who are interested in
pursuing teaching careers should have the below mentioned eligibility:

Candidates must be a citizen of India to be eligible for
CTET 2018.
· There is no upper age limit but the candidate must have
completed 18 years of age.
· The basic eligibility for CTET 2018 is a graduation or a
2-year diploma in elementary education with a minimum
of 45-50% marks.
Candidates must have any one of the
following qualifications to be eligible for CTET 2018.

Candidates must have passed the senior secondary exam with at least 50% marks.
· They should have secured a minimum
of 45% marks in higher secondary.
·
An aggregate of at least 50% in the higher secondary exam should be secured.
· They must be appearing or should have passed the final year
or 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education.
· They should have scored Minimum of 50% marks in senior
secondary.
·
They should have done their graduation or appearing in the
final year of 2-year Diploma in education will also be eligible.
The Academic Qualification for
Elementary Stage (Class 6 to 8) follows:
·
Candidates should have done their graduation.
· They should have secured at least 50% marks in graduation
degree and also should have passed the 1st year of Bachelor in
Education program.
· Candidates must obtain no less than 45% marks in graduation
degree.
· They should have passed senior secondary with an aggregate
of at least 50% marks.
· They should be in the final year of 4- year B. A/ B.S.Eds./ B.A.Ed./
B.S.Eds. should have passed higher secondary with 50% marks.
· Aspirants should have completed their graduation with at
least 50% marks and are appearing in 1st year B.Ed. course.
Below are the
basic eligibility criteria for CTET:
Ø
Should have a degree or a diploma in teacher education.
Ø
For a diploma in Education, the programs recognized by RCI
will be considered.
Ø No
reservation policy there in CTET job placement as per CBSE’s rules.

The CTET Score will be
accepted in schools of the Central Government. The schools which are under the administrative control of Union
Territories of Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman
& Nicobar, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi will be considered. The CTET Score
is accepted by schools owned and managed by the State Government and aided
schools. The CTET scores are accepted by state government schools only when the
state government decides not to conduct state TET. CTET Score may also be
