CTET Expected Exam Date and Syllabus
The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE,
has announced vacancies to recruit teachers in various roles. Every year CBSE
conducts Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET, to employ teachers in
different Government Institutes. This year the CTET Exam Date is scheduled on 9th December 2018. There are two papers included in the
written exam of CTET, Paper I & Paper II. The authority also changed the CTET exam pattern has
introduced Aptitude test for the 1st time in the pattern. In
order to pursue a career in government teacher ship, CTET is the minimum
educational qualification required. CBSE CTET is a national
recruitment process to appoint the skilful teachers for Primary level &
Upper Primary Level.
CTET Syllabus
The syllabus of CTET
2018 is really vast. It focuses mainly on Child Development & Pedagogy and concept of education in
schools. Language is
one section a candidate needs to be master in to clear CTET 2018 exam. Apart
from that Mathematics,
Science/Environmental Science are also major sections that a
candidate needs to focus on to ace CTET 2018 Exam.
CTET 2018 Paper 1
is predicted to be an online test. It is bilingual in nature i.e. both
Hindi and English. The duration of the examination is 2 hours 30 minutes.
1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer. No mark will be deducted
for any incorrect answer. The questions are of Multiple-Choice-Question (MCQ)
type. There are 150 questions and maximum marks that can be secured are 150.
Paper 1 has five sections with 30 questions in each section. The sections are:
- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I
- Language II
- Mathematics
- Environmental Studies

2
CTET 2018 Paper 2
will be online test. It is bilingual in nature, Hindi and English are the two
medium of language. Duration is 2 hours 30 minutes with 1 mark awarded for
every correct answer. No mark deduced for any incorrect answer. The questions
are of objective type. There are 150 questions and maximum marks that can be
secured are 150. Paper 2 comprises 5 sections. The sections are:
- Child Development and Pedagogy (30 questions)
- Language I (30 questions)
- Language II (30 questions)
- Mathematics and Science (60 questions)
- Social Studies/Social Science (60 questions)
Now as you know the complete CTET Syllabus, you
have to be very good with these topics. As per the latest CTET
notification, online application has started from 1st August
2018 and you can fill the online form till 27th August 2018. A huge number of
applicants are expected to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET
2018 Exam.
