HOW TO CRACK APTITUDE SECTION IN IBPS PO
We
had discussed IBPS
PO in
the previous sessions. We had covered the exam pattern, eligibility
criteria and the syllabus for IBPS
PO.
In
this session, we will focus on the Aptitude
section of
IBPS
PO.
The IBPS PO Notification was
released on 9th
August 2018 to fill over 4252 vacancies. The online registration
would start from 14th
August, with the last date to apply being 4th
September 2018.
As
pe notification, IBPS PO Exam date - Prelims is scheduled to be conducted during 13th,
14th,
20th
& 21st
of October 2018.
We
will now look at the exam pattern and IBPS PO Syllabus
As
we already know that there are two phases for IBPS PO Exam- the
Prelims & the Mains exam.
IBPS
PO- Prelims:
Aspirants
have 1 hour and 20 minutes of total time, within which they need to
answer 100 questions. The exam holds a total of 100 marks. You may
also note that there will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for the wrong
answers. You should also pass the cut-off marks in each section to
get to the Mains. Here is the tabular representation of exam pattern

IBPS
PO- The Mains:
Like
the Prelims, the Mains exam is also conducted online. The exam
comprises 5 sections (4+1), carrying a total score of 200 + 25 marks,
and should be answered in 180 + 30 minutes. As in IBPS
PO
conducted in 2017, IBPS
PO 2018
will also have a descriptive paper as part of recruiting candidates
for the post of Probationary Officers. Aspirants must qualify in
both, the Prelims and the Mains to get selected for the Interview

Crack
Quantitative Aptitude in IBPS PO:
As
you prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude, it is important to be
aware of the important chapters.
Concentrate
more on the main chapters. Preparing for the section at first would
get you 40-50% of the questions.

Data Interpretation, comprising 5-10 questions- basic and advanced

Quadratic equation, comprising 0-5 questions
For
Quantitative aptitude section, it is quite essential to practice as
much as possible. The questions can be solved quickly as the concepts
are easy to understand. To score well in the section, it is important
to learn to do mental calculations. Practice questions on BODMAS,
approximations, square & cubes, Surds & Indices, Decimals and
Percentages.
Check

papers to practice on weekly basis.
Find
answer keys and analyse them with your answers. Improve the weak
areas. It is also equally important to solve mock
tests for IBPS PO Exam.
Mock
tests give

help you in managing time for each question as well as maintain
