How to crack IBPS PO exam in first attempt
The official
IBPS PO notification has been released. And the IBPS PO exam date has been
announced via the notice as well as the IBPS annual exam calendar. According to
this calendar, the Prelims exam will be held on 13th, 14th,
20th, and 21st October 2018. And the Mains exam will be
held on 18th November 2018. If you calculate, you will see that
there is around 1 and a half months left for the Preliminary exam. This is a
great chance for you – 90 days are enough if you are dedicated and hardworking.
Of course, time also plays a role here. If it’s your time, you will be able to
crack the exam with ease.

Prelims Exam Pattern
The Prelims
exam pattern consists of three broad sections – Reasoning Ability, Numerical
Ability, and English Language. For each correct answer, you get +1 marks. And
for each incorrect answer, you get -0.25 marks.

Prelims Preparation Tips
- Go through the latest exam pattern and syllabus in detail.
- Collect standard books for each section – ask for recommendations from teachers and senior toppers.
- Make a personalized IBPS PO Study Plan that you know you can follow religiously.
- Clear your basic concepts for Numerical and Reasoning before moving on to solving problems.
- As you clear a particular topic, take topic tests and quizzes online on the same.
- When you have covered all the important topics of the syllabus, start taking one Full-Length IBPS PO Mock Test series on a daily basis.
- After completion of the test, analyse your performance and find your strong / weak areas.
- Accordingly, work on your weak areas and practice more problems on the same to improve it.
- Practice previous year question papers of minimum 3 years. This will help you learn frequently repeated questions and instil confidence in you.
- Take speed tests to get accustomed to the actual exam situation and learn time-management skills.
